Community Support
In Serdán, Mexico, volunteers dedicate their time to the children living at a local orphanage, providing mentorship and sponsoring projects that improve their care. Safety features have been installed throughout the facility, including security lighting and gates, and donated items such as clothing and shoes ensure the students’ basic needs are met. Improving sustainability and efficiency, the installation of solar panels has yielded a significant cost savings for the orphanage.
Education
Following a devastating earthquake in 2010, the Sustainable Haiti Project was launched in the town of Ouanaminthe with the goal of helping build a sustainable future for its residents. Our efforts have focused on education by improving and upgrading schools, strengthening local Haitian enterprises by launching a Haitian coffee and leading various economic developments throughout the country. Today, more than 1,200 Haitian children are receiving an education within our schools

In Kentucky and Ireland, more than a dozen state-of-the-art science laboratories have been built at primary schools. Inspired by Pearse’ brother, the late Father Kevin Lyons — a priest who was dedicated to improving the lives of children — the project encourages students to have greater curiosity about the world around them.
Education
We believe that the arts inspire hope and improve our communities. The Alltech Vocal Scholarship Competition provides talented young vocal students with the opportunity to attend the University of Kentucky and join the UK Opera Theatre to pursue their musical dreams.
Since the competition began in 2006, more than 160 students have been empowered to chase their operatic ambitions and receive an education in the arts. Winners have received over $1.4 million in cash prizes and over $6.1 million in scholarships and assistantships. This totals more than $7 million in collaborative investment into the lives of students who wish to pursue a career in the arts at the University of Kentucky.
